Rockabilly Icon Of The Month: Bettie Mae Page

Bettie Mae Page (April 22, 1923-December 11, 2008)

Now, this one's a little typical, I know, but I figured that since this is a new blog just beginning, why not put up one of the most famous Rockabilly Queens out there. I mean after all, she did start the "Bettie Bangs" trend. Page was a talented teenager. Her and her sisters tried out different make up and hair techniques to mimic their favorite movie stars. Years later, Bettie took these skills to her pin-up photography! She also made her own bikini costumes. After marrying her highschool classmate, Page went on to live a fabulous life in glamour photography. She also appeared on television programs such as :  The United States Steel Hour and the Jackie Gleason Show. Page also was a centerfold in Playboy in January, 1955. Page died while in a coma after her family took her off of life support.

Hello All You Cats Out There

Okay, all. So, this is a new blog strictly for the rockabilly in all of us! I know how exciting this may be, so I'm not going to beat around the bush. I will be posting some sweet things for you all the view! Such as: cheap, cute clothing. Hairstyles. Makeup. Music. Tutorials and more! Unfortunately, I do not own a camera so all pictures that I post in the tutorials of myself are strictly phone. (sorry) but as soon as I can afford a working camera, I will re-do any tutorials I make! (exciting right?) Meanwhile, you all can contact me on here telling me what you would like to see! Music reviews? Advice? Whatever comes to that mind of yours! Well, thanks for reading and hope to be hearing from you all soon. And remember, stay classy.
